I am Maarten Gulickx.
I want to help you achieve your personal or business goals firstly by attaining and maintaining your trust with openness, empathy so together we find inspiration.
Why personal, career and business coaching inspires me
Nothing gives me more energy than helping people thrive. I really believe that when you are empowered you can get more out of life. This applies not only to your working life but also your personal life as well. I see myself as the facilitator, who can offer you the objectivity to empower you towards independence. This process is equally fragile, powerful and magical and it's truly a privilege for me to be involved. Simply put, this work makes me deeply happy.
What energizes me beside my coaching practice
In addition to my work as a support coach and facilitator I'm interested in music, theater, fashion, design, sport and meditation. As Commissioner for the Arts of the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) and the Amsterdam Arts Council (AKR), I give advice regarding four-year subsidies for the arts. I am also a board member of various cultural organizations. I find balance between mental and physical exertion in CrossFit, rock climbing and meditation.
What are my professional roots?
In 2003 I started as an entrepreneur; first as a manager in the music industry and later as a programmer and artistic director for several stages in music, theater, dance and comedy. My move toward being a business leader and interim director for small and medium cultural institutions was an organic move I made with my own use of a financial coach. I was ultimately responsible for business organization within the cultural sector in the fields of music, theater, visual arts and design.
How do I keep myself current?
The variety of functions and industries gave me tremendous energy. I became increasingly asked to assume an advisory or coaching role. Within this I saw myself flourish. It was then that I realized that I want to solely support people and organizations to develop and achieve their goals, driving my decision in 2012 to focus on coaching. Annually I continue my own development by following courses. I followed the Coach Intensive and Coach Expert Education at NONONS amongst others. These are NOBCO/EMCC EQA accredited educations. By NOBCO standards I have the accreditation Senior Practitioner Level. I’m a registered trainer via the CRKBO.
